The ABB 328 is a 1-1/2 inch, 90-degree, set-screw flexible conduit connector designed for securing flexible metallic conduit to electrical enclosures, junction boxes, and panels. The 90-degree body angle allows the conduit to exit perpendicular to the box wall, which is useful in tight or space-constrained installations. The set-screw fastening method provides a secure, tool-tightened grip on the conduit without requiring additional fittings. This connector is installed by licensed electricians in residential, commercial, and light industrial wiring applications where flexible conduit terminations are required.
The ABB 328 is suited for use where a right-angle conduit entry is needed at an enclosure or device box. Typical applications include motor terminations, HVAC equipment wiring, and panel connections where the conduit run must transition from a horizontal or vertical approach to a perpendicular box entry. The set-screw design is compatible with standard flexible metallic conduit in 1-1/2 inch trade size.
Designed as an OEM-style fitting for use with 1-1/2 inch trade size flexible metallic conduit in standard electrical enclosure and junction box applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with NFPA 70 (NEC) requirements for flexible conduit terminations. De-energize the circuit and verify the panel or enclosure is locked out before beginning work. Tighten the set screw with an appropriate screwdriver or nut driver to secure the conduit; do not overtighten in a way that damages the conduit jacket. Verify that the fitting is fully seated in the knockout before tightening the locknut.
