The ABB 304 is a straight, non-insulated Tite-Bite fitting designed for terminating metal-clad (MC) and armored cable (AC) into electrical enclosures, panels, and junction boxes. Built from malleable iron with a zinc plating finish, it accepts a trade size of 3/4 inch and fits a 3/4 inch knockout. The cable range runs from 0.906 to 1.093 inches, making it suitable for common MC and AC cable diameters used in commercial and residential wiring applications. Licensed electricians and electrical contractors install this fitting during rough-in and finish wiring stages where a secure, code-compliant cable termination is required.
This fitting is used in commercial and residential electrical installations wherever MC or AC cable must be terminated at an enclosure knockout. Typical applications include panel boards, pull boxes, junction boxes, and electrical cabinets. The straight configuration is appropriate for direct, in-line entries where a 90-degree or offset connector is not needed. The 3/4 inch trade size is one of the most common sizes encountered in branch circuit and feeder wiring installations.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement fitting for use with standard metal-clad and armored cable installations requiring a 3/4 inch straight connector at a knockout entry point.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with NEC Article 330 for MC cable or Article 320 for AC cable. De-energize the panel or enclosure completely before beginning work. The fitting is threaded into the knockout and secured with a locknut; ensure the locknut is properly tightened to maintain a secure mechanical connection. Because this connector is non-insulated, verify local code requirements regarding the use of an insulating bushing at the throat to protect cable conductors.
