The 3M SCOTCH-WELD 7100148744 is a two-part epoxy adhesive packaged in a 48.5 mL dual-cartridge format, part of the DP100 series. It delivers a 5-minute working time after mixing, giving technicians a short but workable open time for positioning and alignment before the bond sets. Full cure completes in 24 to 48 hours, resulting in a rigid, translucent bond line. This adhesive is suited for structural bonding, repair, and assembly tasks across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general mechanical applications where a fast-setting, high-strength epoxy is required. Installation is performed by trade professionals or experienced maintenance personnel.
The DP100 series cartridge is used in industrial and commercial maintenance, fabrication, and field repair scenarios. The dual-cartridge design meters both resin and hardener at a fixed ratio when used with a compatible dispensing gun, reducing mix errors and waste. The translucent cure color makes it suitable for applications where adhesive visibility must be minimized. Typical uses include bonding metals, rigid plastics, ceramics, and composite materials in mechanical assemblies, electrical enclosures, and plumbing fixture repairs.
Designed for use with compatible dual-cartridge dispensing guns that accept the DP100 series cartridge format. Bonds metals, rigid plastics, ceramics, and composites. Consult the product technical data sheet for substrate-specific surface preparation requirements.
Dispensing requires a compatible 1:1 ratio dual-cartridge applicator gun. Discard the first bead of mixed adhesive before applying to the work surface, as the initial mix from an unused cartridge may not be fully balanced. Work in adequate ventilation and use appropriate PPE including gloves and eye protection when handling uncured epoxy components. Allow full 24 to 48 hour cure before applying load to the bonded assembly.
