The 3M SCOTCH-WELD 7000000815 is a two-part epoxy adhesive from the 2216 series, supplied in a 32 oz can. It delivers a 90-minute working time, giving technicians and assemblers an extended open time to position, fit, and adjust bonded assemblies before cure begins. Mixed at a 2:3 ratio, this gray, conformable, self-leveling epoxy is engineered for structural bonding applications where flexibility and gap-filling performance are required. With a shear strength of 3,200 psi and a peel strength of 25 pli, it holds reliably across a wide range of substrate types. The 7-pound package weight reflects the full can assembly ready for use.
This adhesive is suited for industrial, commercial, and trade applications where a long working time and strong final bond are needed. The self-leveling characteristic makes it effective for horizontal bonding surfaces and assemblies where even adhesive distribution matters. It bonds to ceramic, glass, metal, plastic, rubber, and wood, making it applicable across fabrication, repair, and maintenance work in HVAC, plumbing, electrical enclosure assembly, and general mechanical service environments. The 2216 series is a well-established product line for applications requiring a conformable, flexible bond line that can absorb vibration or minor substrate movement.
Designed for bonding ceramic, glass, metal, plastic, rubber, and wood substrates. Part of the 3M SCOTCH-WELD 2216 series.
Mixing at the correct 2:3 ratio is critical to achieving full cure and rated strength; use a calibrated mixing system or follow the manufacturer instructions for manual mixing. Surfaces should be clean, dry, and free of oils or contaminants before adhesive application. Allow adequate cure time before applying load to the bond. Follow applicable workplace safety regulations for handling epoxy adhesives, including ventilation and PPE requirements.
