The 3M MNHU14-250DFIX is a straight-type female disconnect terminal designed for reliable electrical connections in building wire, sign, and fixture applications. It accepts conductors from 16 AWG minimum to 14 AWG maximum and carries a voltage rating of 600 volts for building wire and 1000 volts for signs and fixtures. The terminal features a brass body with corrosion-resistant tin plating and is fully insulated with adhesive-lined polyolefin heat-shrink nylon. When crimped and heat-shrunk, the insulation forms a seal resistant to water and salt. This terminal is installed by licensed electricians and electrical contractors working on low-voltage wiring, control circuits, and panel connections.
The MNHU14-250DFIX is suited for residential and commercial electrical installations where a secure, insulated disconnect is required at wire termination points. The straight tab style accepts a 0.25-inch wide by 0.032-inch thick disconnect tab. The blue color coding identifies 14-16 AWG conductor range at a glance, consistent with standard color-coded terminal conventions. It is sold in a standard package of 25 terminals per carton, making it practical for service trucks and job-site inventory. Applications include control panel wiring, fixture connections, sign installations, and general low-voltage circuit terminations.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-fit terminal for straight-tab female disconnect applications accepting 14 to 16 AWG conductors with a 0.25-inch tab width.
Installation is typically performed by a licensed electrician. De-energize and lock out the circuit before terminating any conductors. Use a calibrated ratcheting crimping tool appropriate for heat-shrink insulated terminals to achieve a proper crimp; follow up with a heat gun to shrink and seal the insulation fully around the conductor. Do not use open flame to activate the heat-shrink sleeve.
