The 3M mng10-250dmk is a nylon-insulated male disconnect terminal from the Scotchlok line, designed for fast, secure electrical connections in wire termination applications. Built with an ETP copper barrel and a tin-plated finish, it resists corrosion while delivering reliable conductivity. The flared, funnel-entry design guides the wire into the butted-seam barrel with minimal effort. Rated for 600 volts on building wire and 1000 volts on signs and fixtures, and tested across a temperature range of -40 to 221 degrees F, this terminal suits demanding service environments. It includes an integral insulation grip made of brass for added strain relief at the wire entry point.
This terminal is suited for residential, commercial, and light industrial wiring tasks where a quick-disconnect connection is needed on 12 or 10 AWG conductors. The 0.25-inch tab width accepts standard female disconnect receptacles. Electricians and panel technicians use these terminals when terminating control wiring, appliance leads, fixture wiring, and similar low-voltage branch-circuit connections. The yellow color coding helps identify the correct wire gauge range at a glance during installation and inspection. Cases of 500 support high-volume production and service work.
Designed for use with 12 AWG to 10 AWG conductors. The 0.25-inch-wide tab fits standard 0.25-inch female quick-disconnect receptacles. Suitable for building wire, sign, and fixture wiring applications per the voltage ratings stated above.
Installation is performed by licensed electricians or qualified technicians following NEC requirements for the circuit type. De-energize and lock out the circuit before terminating or inspecting connections. Use a calibrated ratcheting crimp tool sized for the wire gauge and terminal series to achieve full crimp engagement on the butted-seam barrel. Do not over-strip the conductor insulation beyond the barrel length, and verify the insulation grip seats properly over the wire jacket before crimping.
