The 3M MH10-10FLX is a locking-type fork terminal designed for secure, moisture-resistant electrical connections in commercial and industrial wiring applications. Part of the Scotchlok series, this terminal features a brazed-seam barrel constructed from tin-plated electrolytic tough pitch (ETP) copper, providing reliable conductivity and corrosion resistance. It accommodates conductor sizes from 12 AWG minimum to 10 AWG maximum and is rated for 600 volts on building wire and 1000 volts for signs and fixtures. The heat shrink, adhesive-lined polyolefin insulation seals the connection against water and salt intrusion when properly crimped and shrunk. Licensed electricians and experienced electrical tradespeople are the primary installers of this terminal.
This terminal is suited for residential and commercial electrical work where a dependable, environmentally sealed fork connection to a No. 10 stud is required. The yellow color coding makes it easy to identify the correct terminal for 10-to-12 AWG wire during installation. Applications include panel wiring, sign and fixture hookups, and any electrical assembly where vibration or moisture exposure demands a locking, heat-shrink-insulated termination. The spring-like tongue locks firmly around the stud, reducing the risk of the terminal backing off under load or vibration.
Designed for use with 12 AWG to 10 AWG conductors terminating on a No. 10 stud. Suitable as an OEM-style heat shrink fork terminal in commercial sign, fixture, and building wire installations where a locking-type terminal is specified.
Installation should be performed by a qualified electrician following applicable NEC requirements. De-energize and lock out the circuit before terminating any conductors. Use a calibrated ratchet crimping tool rated for heat shrink terminals, then apply uniform heat with a heat gun until the tubing fully shrinks and adhesive flows from both ends of the barrel. Do not use an open flame to activate the heat shrink insulation.
