Product Description

The 3M KP87594 is a coated quick-change abrasive disc designed for use with Roloc TR and Type R attachment systems. This 2-inch disc uses aluminum oxide grain bonded to a polyester cloth backing, delivering consistent cut and durability across metal grinding, blending, and surface prep applications. Rated at a maximum of 25,000 RPM, it is suitable for use on angle grinders and die grinders equipped with a compatible quick-change hub. At 60 grit, this disc falls in the medium grade range, making it well suited for stock removal and weld blending. Each package contains 10 discs. Series 361F construction uses a YF-weight polyester cloth backer for rigidity and resistance to tearing under load.

This disc is intended for metal fabrication, maintenance, and repair applications where fast disc changes and consistent abrasive performance are required. It is commonly used in industrial, mechanical, and trade shop settings for deburring, surface conditioning, and preparation of steel and other ferrous metals prior to coating or welding. The brown disc with orange button is a standard configuration within the 3M 361F series and is installed by pressing and twisting onto any compatible Roloc TR or Type R mandrel.

Compatibility

Installation Notes

Installation requires a compatible Roloc TR or Type R mandrel mounted in a grinder or die grinder. Before changing discs, power down the tool completely and confirm the spindle has stopped rotating. Press the disc firmly onto the mandrel and twist to lock before use. Do not exceed the 25,000 RPM maximum speed rating printed on the disc.
