The 3M FPASSTAS6IN-K is a thin-wall heat shrink tubing assortment kit built around the FP-301 Series, rated for 600 volts and constructed from flexible polyolefin with a 2:1 shrink ratio. The kit contains 133 individual pieces across six sizes, ranging from 3/32 inch to 1/2 inch expanded diameter, in seven colors: black, clear, white, red, blue, yellow, and green. Each tube is 48 inches long before cutting. Shrink activates at 212 degrees F, and the tubing carries an operating temperature range of -67 to 275 degrees F. UL and CSA listed. Electricians and low-voltage technicians install this tubing for wire insulation, bundling, strain relief, and color-coded identification on conductors and splices.
This kit is suited for residential and commercial electrical work, control panel wiring, HVAC low-voltage circuit terminations, and field-service applications where multiple conductor sizes must be covered in a single service call. The assortment spans six diameter sizes — 3/32, 1/8, 3/16, 1/4, 3/8, and 1/2 inch — making it practical for techs working across varied wire gauges. Wall thickness is 0.02 inches on the three smaller sizes and 0.025 inches on the three larger sizes. Country of origin is the United States.
Designed for use with copper and insulated conductors in electrical, low-voltage control, and instrumentation wiring applications where a 600-volt, thin-wall polyolefin sleeve is appropriate. Specific conductor compatibility depends on the selected tube size and the conductor outside diameter falling within the expanded-to-recovered diameter range for that size.
Installed by licensed electricians or qualified electrical technicians in accordance with applicable NEC requirements. De-energize and lock out the circuit before applying heat shrink to any conductor or termination. Use a calibrated heat gun set to an appropriate temperature — avoid open flame, which can scorch the tubing unevenly or damage adjacent insulation. Select the tube size whose expanded diameter clears the conductor and whose recovered diameter produces a firm, wrinkle-free fit.
