The 3M FP0.375CR6IN-P is a thin-wall, flexible polyolefin heat shrink tubing from the FP-301 series, sold in a 10-piece pack. It features a 2:1 shrink ratio, with a minimum expanded diameter of 0.375 inches and a maximum recovered diameter of 0.187 inches. Each piece is 6 inches long and clear in color, making it easy to inspect connections after installation. Rated at 600 volts and carrying both UL and CSA approvals, this tubing suits insulation, strain relief, and bundling tasks in electrical and low-voltage wiring applications. Wall thickness is 0.025 inches. The temperature rating spans -55 to 135 degrees C, supporting a wide range of service environments.
This tubing is used by electricians, electronics technicians, and panel builders working on wire splices, terminal insulation, harness protection, and connector strain relief. The clear color allows visual confirmation of the conductor or connection beneath the shrunk tubing without removal. At 6 inches per piece, it is well suited for individual terminations and short runs. The FP-301 series is a standard in residential, commercial, and light industrial electrical work where a flexible, low-profile insulating sleeve is needed over conductors rated up to 600 volts.
Designed as a standard thin-wall polyolefin heat shrink sleeve for use on electrical conductors, splices, and terminals rated up to 600 volts where UL- and CSA-listed insulation protection is required.
Electricians and electronics technicians apply this tubing using a heat gun or similar radiant heat source — open flame is not recommended for polyolefin tubing. De-energize all circuits before applying heat shrink to any live wiring. Position the tubing over the connection before applying heat, and apply heat evenly along the length to achieve a uniform shrink. Follow applicable NEC requirements for insulation ratings and conductor protection in the specific installation environment.
