The 3M FP0.375BK48IN-S is a thin-wall, flexible polyolefin heat shrink tubing from the FP-301 series, designed for electrical insulation, bundling, and environmental protection in industrial and military-grade applications. It carries a 600-volt rating and a 2:1 shrink ratio, with a minimum expanded diameter of 0.375 inches and a maximum recovered diameter of 0.187 inches. Each piece is 48 inches long with a wall thickness of 0.025 inches. Licensed electricians and maintenance technicians install this tubing on wire splices, terminations, and cable harnesses where a clean, durable, flame-retardant sleeve is required.
This tubing is suited for residential, commercial, and industrial electrical work as well as military and OEM wiring assemblies. The wide service temperature range of -55 to 135 degrees C makes it appropriate for both interior panel wiring and applications exposed to heat cycling or harsh environments. It ships in a 12-piece case quantity and is packaged individually at 48-inch lengths, making it easy to cut to size on the job. Black color simplifies identification in wire management systems.
Designed as an OEM-style and field-service replacement heat shrink tubing for 3/8-inch cable sizes and wire harness applications requiring thin-wall polyolefin sleeving rated at 600 volts.
Installation is performed by licensed electricians or qualified maintenance technicians. De-energize and lock out all circuits before applying heat shrink tubing to any conductor or splice. Use a calibrated heat gun to apply even heat at or above the shrink temperature of 212 degrees F, working from the center outward to avoid air pockets. Follow NEC guidelines for insulation and splice protection requirements applicable to the circuit being serviced.
