The 3M FP0.125CR6IN-P is a thin-wall, flexible polyolefin heat shrink tubing from the FP-301 series, sold in a 10-piece pack of 6-inch lengths. Each piece has a minimum expanded diameter of 0.125 inches and a maximum recovered diameter of 0.062 inches, giving it a 2:1 shrink ratio. The tubing is clear in color and rated for 600 volts with a wall thickness of 0.02 inches. It is used in electrical insulation, wire bundling, and mechanical protection applications where a low-profile, flexible sleeve is required. Electricians and electronics technicians are the primary installers.
This tubing is suited for residential, commercial, and light industrial electrical work. The 6-inch length and 1/8-inch expanded diameter make it appropriate for small-gauge wire terminations, splices, solder joints, and connector strain relief. The clear color allows inspection of the underlying conductor or connection without removing the tubing. Its flexible polyolefin construction maintains performance across a wide temperature range, from -55 degrees C to 135 degrees C, making it reliable in both indoor control panels and outdoor or engine-compartment environments.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard fitment for electrical insulation and wire protection applications requiring 1/8-inch thin-wall polyolefin heat shrink tubing rated at 600 volts.
Heat shrink tubing of this type is installed by licensed electricians or qualified technicians. De-energize and lock out the circuit before applying tubing over any conductor or termination. Use a calibrated heat gun set to an appropriate low temperature for polyolefin materials — avoid open flame, which can damage the tubing or underlying insulation. Ensure the tubing is fully recovered and seated before restoring power; NEC guidelines apply to all electrical insulation work.
