The 3M ct24nt175-l is a heavy-duty nylon cable tie rated to 175 pounds tensile strength, designed for bundling and securing wire harnesses, conduit runs, hoses, and mechanical components in demanding trade environments. At 24 inches in length with a maximum bundle diameter of 7.2 inches, it handles large-diameter bundles that standard ties cannot reach. The self-locking mechanism engages without tools, providing a secure, ratcheted hold once cinched. Constructed from Nylon 6/6 in a beige finish, these ties resist moisture and common chemicals encountered in HVAC, electrical, and plumbing installations. Each bag contains 50 ties.
These cable ties suit residential and commercial applications where high tensile loads and longer bundle runs are required. Electricians use them to secure large wire bundles in panel rooms, cable trays, and conduit staging. HVAC technicians reach for this size when strapping refrigerant line sets, flex duct, or equipment wiring harnesses. The 24-inch length also serves mechanical and plumbing contractors bundling larger pipe or hose assemblies. The rated temperature range of 32 to 185 degrees F covers most interior mechanical room and attic installation environments.
Designed as a general-purpose heavy-duty cable tie suitable for electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical bundling applications requiring a 24-inch self-locking nylon tie at 175 lb tensile strength.
Cable ties are installed by electricians, HVAC technicians, and mechanical contractors following applicable NEC and manufacturer bundling guidelines. Cinch the tie firmly before trimming the tail flush with flush-cut pliers or a cable tie tensioning tool to avoid a sharp edge. Do not exceed the rated tensile strength or bend the tie sharply at the locking head, as this can reduce holding capacity. Avoid installation in environments that exceed the 185 degrees F upper temperature rating, such as direct contact with exhaust surfaces or high-heat flue areas.
