The 3M 7100331754 is a ceramic abrasive quick-change disc from the Cubitron 3 series, designed for aggressive material removal on stainless steel, nickel alloys, and other heat-sensitive metals. Built on a rigid YF-weight fiber backing, the disc uses a closed-coat ceramic grain that self-sharpens during use, maintaining a consistent cut rate throughout the disc's life. An additional coating reduces surface temperatures at the workpiece, making it well suited for alloys that are prone to heat distortion or discoloration. Rated to 25,000 RPM with resistance to both heat and tear, this disc is built for sustained performance in demanding shop and fabrication environments. Licensed trades and metalworkers install and operate this product.
This disc is intended for use on stainless steel, nickel alloys, cobalt, Inconel, titanium, and chrome. The 36 grit extra-coarse designation makes it appropriate for stock removal, weld blending, and surface prep rather than finishing passes. The TR quick-change mounting system allows fast disc swaps without additional tools, reducing downtime in production grinding and surface preparation workflows. It is sold in a 50-pack, suited to high-volume fabrication shops and maintenance operations that go through abrasives regularly.
Designed for use with TR quick-change right-angle grinders and disc holders rated for a minimum of 25,000 RPM. Suitable for grinding and surface preparation on stainless steel, nickel alloys, cobalt, Inconel, titanium, and chrome workpieces.
Installation and operation of abrasive discs should be performed by trained personnel following ANSI B7.1 and applicable shop safety standards. Verify that the grinder and backing pad are rated at or above 25,000 RPM before mounting the disc. Inspect the disc for cracks or damage before each use and never operate a damaged disc. Always wear appropriate PPE including a face shield, gloves, and hearing protection when operating angle grinders with abrasive discs.
