The 3M 7100331729 is a Cubitron 3 Roloc Disc 1184F built for metalworking applications that demand flexibility, including weld grinding, beveling, and deburring on stainless steel, titanium, and nickel alloys. The disc uses re-engineered 3M Precision-Shaped Grain with curved sides that maintain sharp cutting points, slice cleanly through metal, wear evenly, and continuously self-sharpen as points break off. A YF-weight, water-resistant polyester cloth backing supports medium to high-pressure grinding work. An incorporated grinding aid reduces grinding temperatures to minimize discoloration, oxidation, and heat-related stress cracks on heat-sensitive metals. The Roloc attachment system allows fast disc changes between grades or applications without tools.
This disc is designed for trade professionals working in fabrication shops, maintenance environments, and on-site metalworking where heat-sensitive alloys such as stainless steel and titanium require controlled material removal. The 36 plus grit rating makes it appropriate for aggressive stock removal, weld blending, and edge preparation. Its flexibility allows it to conform to contoured and irregular workpiece surfaces. The disc is engineered to deliver more completed parts per disc compared to conventional abrasives, reducing changeover frequency and abrasive waste during production runs.
Designed for use with Roloc-compatible angle grinders and die grinders on metalworking applications including stainless steel, titanium, and nickel alloy workpieces requiring flexible abrasive action.
Installation and disc changes should be performed by a trained operator following the grinder and disc manufacturer's mounting instructions. Ensure the grinder is powered off and disconnected from the power source before changing discs. Verify that the grinder's maximum RPM rating meets or exceeds the disc's rated speed before use. Operators should wear appropriate PPE including face shield, gloves, and hearing protection during grinding operations.
