The 3M 7100309906 is a 7-inch coated fiber disc engineered for aggressive material removal on metal fabrication, weld blending, and surface conditioning applications. Built on a resinoid-bonded fiber backing, it uses precision shaped ceramic abrasive grain at 36 grit to cut fast and run cool, extending disc life compared to conventional ceramic or aluminum oxide alternatives. The arbor hole attachment centers the disc on standard 7/8-inch backup pads. It is rated to 8,600 RPM for use with angle grinders and disc grinders commonly found in metal fabrication, shipbuilding, and structural steel work.
