The 3M 7100243874 is a ceramic abrasive flap disc designed for aggressive material removal on metal and fabricated surfaces. It features a Type 29 conical profile, which positions the abrasive at an angle that increases contact pressure and cutting rate compared to a flat Type 27 disc. The 60-grit ceramic grain is well suited for weld blending, edge grinding, and stock removal on steel, stainless steel, and other hard metals. The plastic backing provides rigidity while absorbing vibration during extended use. This disc is installed by metal fabricators, pipefitters, ironworkers, and maintenance technicians using standard angle grinders.
