The 3M 7100220294 is a horizontal lifeline stanchion engineered for use in pour-in-place and fasten-in-place fall protection systems. Part of the DBI-SALA SecuraSpan product line, this stanchion serves as a structural anchor post for HLL cable systems on rooftops, elevated walkways, and other work-at-height surfaces. It is designed for installation by qualified fall protection competent persons or rigging professionals working on commercial or industrial structures where OSHA-regulated fall protection is required. The stanchion interfaces with horizontal lifeline cable and hardware to form a continuous overhead or low-profile fall arrest or fall restraint system.
This stanchion is suited for commercial and industrial rooftop applications, elevated decking, and concrete or structural steel surfaces where a permanent or semi-permanent HLL system is required. Pour-in-place configurations embed the base in concrete during construction or renovation, while fasten-in-place configurations allow surface mounting to existing structural substrates. Installations are typically performed during new construction, reroofing projects, or fall protection system upgrades on facilities requiring compliant worker access routes at height.
Designed for use within the DBI-SALA SecuraSpan horizontal lifeline system as a pour-in-place or fasten-in-place stanchion component. Verify compatibility with specific HLL cable, end anchors, and intermediate stanchion hardware within the SecuraSpan system configuration before installation.
Installation must be performed by a qualified person with competency in fall protection systems in accordance with OSHA 29 CFR 1926.502 and applicable ANSI Z359 standards. Power down or de-energize any electrical systems in the work zone before beginning installation on rooftop or elevated surfaces. Pour-in-place bases require adequate concrete cure time before the system is loaded. Do not modify the stanchion base plate, post, or cable attachment points in the field.
