The 3M 7100203816 is a Cubitron II 984F abrasive cloth belt engineered for aggressive material removal on stainless steel, carbon steel, cobalt chrome, nickel alloys, and other exotic alloys. Built on a YF-weight polyester cloth backing, it uses 3M Precision-Shaped Grain technology that continuously fractures during use, exposing fresh sharp cutting points. A built-in grinding aid helps the belt run cooler, which limits heat-related discoloration, oxidation, and stress cracking in the workpiece. This belt measures 132 inches in length and 3 inches in width with a 36-grit abrasive rating. It is suited to medium and high pressure grinding applications, including robotic and pressure-assisted setups common in industrial fabrication and metalworking environments.
This belt is used in industrial metal fabrication, weld blending, surface conditioning, and grinding operations where heat management and consistent cut rate are critical.
