The 3M 7100200220 is a single-component polyurethane elastomeric construction sealant that cures by reacting with atmospheric humidity. Once cured, it forms a flexible, resilient joint with strong adhesion to most common building materials. It delivers an elongation rating of over 600 percent and a Shore A hardness of 25, making it well suited for joints that experience significant movement or thermal cycling. Skin time is approximately 2 hours. This product ships in a 50-gallon open head lined drum, intended for high-volume application on commercial or industrial construction projects. Licensed applicators and sealant contractors are the primary installers.
This sealant is formulated for creating flexible seals on expansion joints in heavy and light precast concrete panel assemblies. It also performs on wood, aluminum, and PVC substrates, covering a wide range of building envelope applications. The drum format is suited to gang-pour or bulk-dispensing operations on large job sites where cartridge volume would be impractical. It is appropriate for both horizontal and vertical joint applications where a gray color match is acceptable.
Designed for use on heavy and light precast panel expansion joints and bonding to wood, aluminum, and PVC substrates in commercial and industrial construction sealant applications.
Application should be performed by a qualified sealant contractor or construction trade professional familiar with ASTM joint-sealant standards. Surfaces must be clean, dry, and free of dust, oil, and loose material before application. Do not apply to wet or frozen substrates, as moisture-cure kinetics will be affected by surface conditions. Bulk dispensing from a drum requires compatible pumping equipment rated for single-component polyurethane sealants.
