The 3M 7100193282 is a Cubitrona II 784F abrasive belt designed for medium-pressure grinding and blending on metal surfaces. It uses a blend of 3M Precision-Shaped Grain ceramic and premium aluminum oxide to deliver a faster, more consistent cut than conventional ceramic aluminum oxide belts. The 72-inch by 1-inch belt runs on power belt grinders and finishing machines used in fabrication shops, weld blending operations, and robotic grinding lines. At 36 grit, it is built for aggressive stock removal and surface preparation. A YF-weight polyester backing provides the durability and moderate flexibility required for both straight and contoured workpieces.
This belt is suited for professional metal fabrication and finishing applications where throughput and consistent cut rate matter. It performs on ferrous and non-ferrous alloys, including heat-sensitive materials, in both wet and dry operating conditions. The built-in grinding aid helps manage heat buildup at the abrasive interface, making it a practical choice for alloys that are prone to heat discoloration or surface damage. It is commonly used in pressure-assisted and robotic belt grinding setups where extended belt life reduces downtime and changeout frequency.
Designed for use on power belt grinders and finishing machines that accept 72-inch by 1-inch abrasive belts, including robotic and pressure-assisted grinding systems used in metal fabrication.
Installation should be performed by a qualified operator following the machine manufacturer's belt-change procedure. Power down and de-energize the grinder before removing or mounting the belt. Verify belt tracking and tension per the equipment manual before resuming operation. Inspect the belt for damage or edge separation prior to each use.
