The 3M 7100191861 is the Cubitron II 784F cloth abrasive belt, engineered for medium-pressure grinding and blending on all metals. It uses 3M Precision-Shaped Grain technology, a proprietary blend of shaped ceramic and premium aluminum oxide minerals, to deliver a faster and more consistent cut than conventional ceramic aluminum oxide belts. The 36-grit rating and YF-weight polyester backing make this belt well suited to aggressive stock removal on both flat and contoured workpieces. A durable resin bond resists heat-induced deterioration, and an integrated grinding aid helps keep temperatures in check on heat-sensitive alloys.
This belt is designed for use in robotic, pressure-assisted, and manual grinding and blending operations across fabrication, weld blending, and surface conditioning workflows. It measures 106 inches in length and 4 inches in width, fitting wide-belt and stroke-sander configurations common in production metalworking environments. The waterproof backing supports both wet and dry application conditions, making it adaptable to a range of shop setups. Licensed fabricators, metal finishing technicians, and production grinders are the primary users.
Designed for use on all metals in medium-pressure grinding and blending applications, including robotic and pressure-assisted systems that accept 106-inch by 4-inch abrasive belts.
Belt installation should be performed by qualified personnel following the equipment manufacturer's belt-tensioning and tracking procedures. Power down and lock out the grinding machine before mounting or removing the belt. Confirm belt direction-of-travel arrow aligns with the machine's drive direction prior to startup. Inspect the contact wheel or platen for wear or damage before mounting a new belt.
