The 3M 7100184394 is a pre-swaged, cut-to-length galvanized steel lifeline cable designed for use in Lad-Saf Vertical Safety Systems. Rated to a 310 lb load capacity and supplied at 65 ft in length, this cable arrives ready to install without additional cutting or swaging on the job site. Constructed from galvanized steel, it provides corrosion resistance suited to outdoor and industrial ladder climbing environments. It meets RR-W-410 specification requirements. Licensed contractors and safety equipment installers working on vertical fall protection systems rely on this cable as a direct-fit component within the Lad-Saf system architecture.
This cable is intended for vertical cable ladder safety systems in commercial, industrial, and infrastructure applications where workers require continuous fall protection while ascending or descending fixed ladders. The pre-swaged ends allow the cable to be tensioned directly onto new or replacement Lad-Saf installations. The galvanized steel construction supports use in environments subject to moisture, outdoor exposure, and general wear. Available in a 3/8 inch (9.5 mm) diameter, it is compatible with both 1x7 and 7x19 strand configurations as noted in product documentation.
Designed for use with the Lad-Saf Vertical Safety System as a replacement or new-installation lifeline cable component.
Installation of vertical fall protection cable systems should be performed by a qualified person familiar with applicable OSHA fall protection regulations and manufacturer system guidelines. De-energize and secure the work area before beginning cable installation or tensioning. Follow the Lad-Saf system tension specifications provided in the manufacturer installation documentation — do not estimate cable tension by feel. Inspect swaged terminations for deformation or cracking before placing the system into service.
