The 3M 7100176971 is a polycarbonate hard hat visor designed for use with the 3M X5000 series helmet. The amber-tinted lens filters light and enhances contrast in outdoor and variable-lighting conditions. This visor features a slide in/out attachment mechanism and is constructed from scratch-resistant, anti-fog polycarbonate. It is sized at 5.71 inches tall and 9.25 inches wide, making it a full-coverage face shield suited for job sites where both head and face protection are required. Installation and removal are handled without tools, making it practical for daily use by construction trades, utilities workers, and industrial maintenance personnel.
This visor is intended for use with the 3M X5000 series hard hat and helmet platform. Note that a P3EV/2-10P adapter or 3M X-Series helmet-attached earmuffs must be ordered separately to attach this visor. It is appropriate for outdoor work environments where glare reduction is a priority, including construction, electrical utility work, and general industrial applications. It is sold individually and ships as a single unit.
Designed for use with the 3M X5000 hard hat platform. Attachment requires a separately ordered P3EV/2-10P adapter or 3M X-Series helmet-attached earmuffs. Not universally compatible with other hard hat brands or models.
Installation is performed by the end user without tools using the slide in/out attachment interface. Before attaching or removing the visor, verify the hard hat is off the head and free of other accessories that may interfere with the attachment mechanism. Confirm that any required adapter or earmuff attachment component is properly seated before mounting the visor. Always follow the manufacturer safety guidelines and applicable ANSI Z87.1 and Z89.1 standards for face and head protection equipment.
