At 36 grit and measuring 72 inches in length by 2 inches in width, it suits high-material-removal tasks where heat control and grain life are priorities.
This belt is intended for metalworking operations in fabrication shops, welding environments, and manufacturing settings. Typical applications include deburring, weld seam removal, and surface blending on aluminum, brass, and bronze workpieces. The water-resistant backing makes it especially useful in wet-grinding setups where coolant is applied to manage heat buildup and extend abrasive life. Designed as an OEM-style replacement abrasive belt for stationary belt grinders and wide-stroke sanders that accept 72-inch by 2-inch cloth belts. Best suited for use on aluminum, brass, and bronze substrates.
Install and replace abrasive belts with the grinder or sander fully powered off and locked out per applicable OSHA lockout/tagout procedures. Verify belt tracking and tension before resuming operation, following the equipment manufacturer guidelines. Wear appropriate PPE including eye protection and gloves when handling and mounting abrasive belts.
