This blower unit is suited for environments where standard electric motors are prohibited due to ignition risk — classified locations where flammable gases, vapors, or dusts may be present. Before servicing or replacing the blower unit, power down the device and remove the battery per the manufacturer's procedure. Do not substitute non-intrinsically-safe components — mixing classified and non-classified parts voids the intrinsic safety rating. Respiratory protection programs using this equipment should comply with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.134 and applicable site-specific confined-space or hot-work procedures.
