The 3M 7100139516 is a Diamond Grade conspicuity marking reflective tape designed for high-visibility safety and compliance applications. This tape delivers strong retroreflective performance, making vehicles, trailers, and equipment more visible to oncoming traffic in low-light and nighttime conditions. It ships in a white finish and measures 4 inches wide by 150 feet long, providing enough coverage for full trailer markings or large fleet applications. Installation is straightforward and does not require special tooling, making it a practical choice for fleet maintenance professionals, body shops, and DOT compliance crews.
This tape is commonly applied to the sides and rear of semi-trailers, flatbeds, straight trucks, and other commercial vehicles where conspicuity marking is required by federal motor carrier safety regulations. The 4-inch width and 150-foot roll length suit full-length trailer runs without mid-roll splicing on most standard trailer sizes. It is also used on construction equipment, utility trailers, and emergency response vehicles where high-visibility marking is required. Each roll is sold individually as one unit.
Designed for conspicuity marking on commercial trailers, straight trucks, flatbeds, and other vehicles and equipment requiring reflective safety tape. Verify surface preparation requirements and applicable federal or state conspicuity regulations before installation.
Surface should be clean, dry, and free of grease, wax, and loose paint before tape application. Temperature and surface conditions affect adhesive bond strength — consult the manufacturer application guidelines for minimum surface and air temperature requirements. No special trade license is required for application, but vehicles subject to FMCSA conspicuity rules should be marked in accordance with 49 CFR Part 393. Avoid stretching the tape during application, as this can cause edge lifting over time.
