The 3M 7100139130 is a high-performance, postformable grade contact spray adhesive formulated with a low VOC composition for use in woodworking, laminate fabrication, and specialty vehicle manufacturing. It delivers a unique low-telegraphing pebble spray pattern that minimizes surface texture transfer, making it well suited for visible or finished decorative surfaces. The adhesive bonds to a wide range of demanding substrates including decorative laminate, metal, and select rubber materials. It is compliant with SCAQMD Rule 1168 and qualifies for LEED projects where VOC content is a factor in material selection. Packaged in a pre-pressurized canister for maintenance-free delivery.
This adhesive is used primarily in residential and commercial woodworking shops, cabinet fabrication facilities, and specialty vehicle upfit operations. It is particularly effective in postforming laminate applications where the adhesive must remain flexible enough to conform to curved or shaped surfaces after bonding. Its low VOC formulation makes it appropriate for facilities operating under air quality regulations, including those in SCAQMD-regulated regions. Installers and fabricators working with countertops, cabinetry panels, and vehicle interior trim surfaces are the primary users of this product.
Designed for bonding decorative laminate, metal, and select rubber substrates in woodworking and specialty vehicle fabrication applications. Suitable for use in facilities subject to SCAQMD Rule 1168 or LEED VOC compliance requirements.
Application should be performed by experienced fabricators or trade professionals familiar with contact adhesive procedures. Ensure adequate ventilation in the work area even with low VOC formulations, and follow local air quality and fire code requirements. Allow adhesive to flash off to the proper tack level before mating surfaces, as contact adhesives bond on contact and repositioning is not possible once surfaces meet. Keep away from open flame and ignition sources during application and curing.
