The 3M 7100139049 is a clear, fine-resilient slip-resistant tape designed for surfaces exposed to wet, barefoot foot traffic. The tape features a high-friction textured surface that increases traction underfoot and reduces slip hazards on smooth flooring. The reverse side carries a pressure-sensitive adhesive protected by a removable liner, allowing for straightforward surface application without additional adhesives or fasteners. Each roll measures 1 inch wide by 60 feet long, making it well suited for stair nosings, ramps, pool decks, locker room floors, and similar high-risk walking surfaces. Installation does not require specialized trade licensing, though facility maintenance technicians and safety compliance personnel are the typical installers.
This tape is intended for use in wet and barefoot traffic areas such as pool surrounds, shower rooms, locker rooms, spas, and other commercial or residential spaces where slip resistance is a safety requirement. The clear finish allows the tape to blend with most flooring materials without significantly altering the surface appearance. The fine-resilient texture provides traction while remaining comfortable underfoot in barefoot environments. It is sold by the case with a minimum order quantity of one case.
Designed as a surface-applied slip-resistant solution for smooth flooring in wet and barefoot traffic areas including pool decks, shower rooms, locker rooms, and similar environments.
Surface must be clean, dry, and free of oils or loose material before applying the tape. Peel the removable liner from the adhesive backing and press the tape firmly onto the surface, working out air bubbles from one end to the other. No special tools or trade license are required for installation, though facility safety personnel should verify that the application meets applicable local slip-resistance codes or standards. Avoid applying to surfaces that are wet at the time of installation, as adhesion will be compromised.
