The 3M 7100138684 is a high-strength, postformable grade spray adhesive engineered for demanding laminate bonding applications. Formulated with a low VOC profile, it meets SCAQMD Rule 1168 and qualifies for LEED compliance, making it suitable for use in regulated environments. The adhesive features a unique low-telegraphing pebble spray pattern that minimizes surface distortion on finished assemblies. Packaged in a pre-pressurized cylinder canister, it delivers a maintenance-free, consistent spray without the need for external air supply. This product is intended for professional use in woodworking shops, millwork operations, and specialty vehicle fabrication environments where bond integrity and compliance with VOC regulations are both required.
This adhesive is designed for bonding decorative laminate to substrates including metal and select rubbers, in both residential millwork and commercial fabrication settings. It is especially well suited for postforming applications where the laminate must wrap or bend around edges after bonding. Typical installers include cabinetmakers, countertop fabricators, and specialty vehicle interior builders. Its low telegraphing spray pattern makes it a practical choice for visible surfaces where adhesive show-through would be unacceptable.
Designed for bonding decorative laminate to metal, wood-based substrates, and select rubbers in woodworking and specialty vehicle fabrication applications.
Apply in a well-ventilated area and follow all applicable local VOC regulations and safety data sheet guidelines before use. Ensure substrate surfaces are clean, dry, and free of dust, oil, or release agents prior to adhesive application. Allow adequate open time before mating surfaces, and apply firm, even pressure across the bonded area to achieve full contact. Do not apply to surfaces that exceed the adhesive temperature tolerance listed in the product safety data sheet.
