The 3M 7100138322 is a Scotch-Brite Roloc Bristle Disc designed for surface preparation, coating removal, deburring, blending, and finishing on metal and other industrial materials. Built with proprietary ceramic abrasive grain blended with aluminum oxide and molded into flexible, abrasive-filled bristles, this disc delivers consistent cutting action from first use through the life of the disc. At 3 inches in diameter, it fits standard Roloc TR-style quick-change attachment systems. Trades including pipefitters, welders, HVAC sheet metal technicians, and maintenance mechanics commonly use this disc for prep work prior to welding, coating, or inspection.
This disc is suited for both straight and contoured surface work in residential, commercial, and light industrial settings. The flexible bristles conform to irregular profiles, making it effective on elbows, fittings, flanges, and fabricated components where rigid abrasive tools lose contact. It is particularly useful in multi-step finishing processes where rapid disc changeover is required, including stripping old coatings, cleaning oxidation, blending weld seams, and preparing surfaces for new coatings or inspection. The minimum purchase quantity is 4 discs per order.
Designed for use with standard 3M Roloc TR-style quick-change right-angle grinders and die grinders accepting a 3-inch disc diameter.
Installation requires a compatible Roloc TR-style mandrel mounted in a right-angle grinder or die grinder. Ensure the tool is powered off and disconnected from the air supply or electrical source before mounting or removing the disc. Follow the tool manufacturer's maximum RPM rating and do not exceed the disc's rated speed. Eye protection, gloves, and appropriate respiratory protection should be worn during operation per applicable safety standards.
