The 3M 7100138321 is a Scotch-Brite Roloc Bristle Disc with a Type S straight quick-change attachment, designed for surface conditioning on metal workpieces. It uses a proprietary ceramic abrasive grain blended with aluminum oxide and molded into flexible, abrasive-filled bristles. This construction delivers more surface contact than wire brushes and maintains cutting performance throughout the full life of the disc. The disc handles a wide range of tasks in a single tool: stripping coatings, deburring edges, blending welds, finishing, polishing, and removing rust. The open-web bristle design runs cool and resists loading, keeping abrasive minerals cutting efficiently without clogging. Machinists, fabricators, and maintenance technicians install and operate this disc with standard Roloc-compatible angle grinders and die grinders.
The 7100138321 is suited for general metal fabrication, maintenance shops, and automotive or engine rebuilding environments. It performs on steel, aluminum, and a variety of other metals. The flexible bristles conform to contoured and complex part geometries, making it practical for areas that flat abrasive wheels cannot reach effectively. Light pressure is sufficient under normal use, and bristles remain safely in place throughout operation. Available grades include 50, P50, 80, P80, 120, and P120, covering coarse stock removal through finer finishing work.
Designed for use with Roloc-compatible angle grinders and die grinders accepting a Type S straight quick-change hub attachment. Works on steel, aluminum, and a variety of other metals in general maintenance, fabrication, and automotive and engine rebuilding applications.
Installation and operation is typically performed by machinists, metal fabricators, or maintenance technicians using a Roloc-compatible pneumatic or electric die grinder or angle grinder. Ensure the tool is powered off and air supply is disconnected before mounting or removing the disc. Thread the Type S hub onto the grinder spindle until secure before starting the tool. Apply only light pressure during use — excessive force is not required and may reduce disc life.
