The 3M 7100138305 is a Scotch-Brite Roloc Bristle Disc designed for surface preparation tasks including stripping, deburring, blending, finishing, polishing, cleaning, and coating removal. The disc combines a proprietary ceramic abrasive grain blended with aluminum oxide, molded directly into flexible bristles. At 2.992 inches in diameter with a 50-grit rating, it delivers consistent cutting action and finish quality from first use to the end of the disc life. The molded bristle construction provides more surface contact than wire brushes, making it well suited for aggressive material removal without the risk of wire contamination.
This bristle disc is used in metal fabrication, maintenance, and surface finishing applications across industrial and commercial settings. The flexible bristles conform to contoured and complex part geometries, producing consistent finishes on surfaces that flat abrasives cannot reach evenly. It attaches via the Roloc quick-change system, allowing fast disc swaps during multi-step finishing processes. Typical users include fabricators, machinists, maintenance technicians, and professionals working with ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
Designed for use with Roloc-compatible angle grinders, die grinders, and finishing tools that accept the standard Roloc threaded hub attachment system.
Installation and disc changes should be performed with the tool powered off and disconnected from its power source. Thread the Roloc hub attachment securely before operation and confirm the disc is fully seated before applying load. Follow applicable ANSI and tool manufacturer guidelines for maximum RPM ratings and appropriate PPE, including eye and face protection. Inspect the bristle disc for damage before each use and discard if bristles show excessive wear or deformation.
