The 3M 7100138295 Scotch-Brite Radial Bristle Disc is a 2-inch diameter, 220-grit ceramic abrasive disc designed for surface preparation and finishing tasks in metal fabrication, maintenance, and industrial applications. The disc uses proprietary ceramic abrasive grain molded directly into flexible bristles, delivering aggressive cutting action and consistent finish quality from the first use through the end of the disc's service life. Unlike wire brushes, the abrasive-filled bristles require less operator pressure and conform to curved or contoured surfaces, making them well suited for complex geometry work. Licensed trades and industrial maintenance technicians are the primary installers and users of this product.
This disc is used in residential, commercial, and industrial settings for removing paint, rust, heavy oxides, weld burns, adhesives, stains, and other surface contaminants. The curved bristle design and 220-grit ceramic grain are suited for blending, deburring, finishing, polishing, and coating removal on metal and other hard surfaces. Applications include weld prep and post-weld cleanup, corrosion removal, and surface conditioning on flat and irregular workpieces. Its 2-inch diameter fits standard mandrel-mounted disc setups commonly used in angle grinders and die grinders.
Designed for use with standard mandrel-mounted 2-inch disc setups on angle grinders and die grinders used in metal surface preparation and finishing applications.
This disc is installed and operated by metal fabricators, maintenance technicians, and industrial trades personnel. Ensure the grinder or die grinder is powered off and unplugged before mounting or removing the disc. Follow the tool manufacturer's maximum RPM rating and verify the disc's rated speed is compatible before operation. Always use appropriate personal protective equipment including eye and face protection, as abrasive discs generate debris during use.
