The 3M 7100134123 is a one-part, ready-to-use intumescent moldable putty pad designed to firestop metallic and non-metallic electrical boxes, wall openings, and through-penetrations in fire-rated assemblies. Each pad measures 7 inches x 7 inches and is approximately 0.1 inches (2.5 mm) thick. The dark red pad is re-enterable, meaning it can be removed and reinstalled without destroying the firestop seal. It provides up to 4 hours of fire protection and also acts as a draft and cold smoke seal for assemblies requiring an L-Rating. Licensed electricians and fire-stop contractors are the primary installers of this product.

This putty pad is suited for residential and commercial fire-rated wall assemblies where electrical boxes penetrate the barrier.
