The 3M 7100113139 is a Cubitron II Hookit cloth disc designed for aggressive material removal on stainless steel, carbon steel, cobalt chrome, nickel alloys, and other exotic alloys. Built on an X-weight polyester-cotton cloth backing, this 6-inch disc runs at up to 12000 RPM and uses 3M Precision Shaped Grain to cut fast and consistently. A built-in grinding aid reduces heat buildup at the workpiece, which is critical when working with heat-sensitive alloys. The resin bond resists thermal breakdown, helping maintain cut rate and finish quality through the life of the disc. Fabricators, weld finishers, and metalworking shops are the primary users of this product.
This disc is suited for medium to high pressure grinding and blending applications in fabrication shops, aerospace component finishing, and general metalworking environments. It is particularly effective where heat control matters, such as on stainless steel and nickel-based superalloys that discolor or work-harden under excessive heat. The Hookit attachment system allows fast disc changes without tools, reducing downtime during high-volume grinding operations. It is used with compatible Hookit random orbital and disc sanders operating at the rated speed.
Designed for use with Hookit-compatible random orbital sanders and disc grinders that accept 6-inch abrasive discs and operate at or below 12000 RPM. Suitable for material removal and blending on stainless steel, carbon steel, cobalt chrome, nickel alloys, and other exotic alloys.
This disc is installed and serviced by metalworkers, fabricators, and finishing technicians. Before mounting, verify the tool's maximum RPM rating meets or exceeds the disc rating and that the backing pad diameter matches the disc diameter. Power down and disconnect the tool from its power source before changing discs. Do not exceed the rated speed, and inspect the disc for damage before each use.
