The 3M 7100113121 is a Cubitron II Hookit Cloth Disc in the 947A series, designed for aggressive material removal on stainless steel, carbon steel, cobalt chrome, nickel alloys, and other exotic alloys. Built on an X-weight polyester-cotton cloth backing, it uses 3M Precision Shaped Grain technology to cut faster and run cooler than conventional abrasive grain. A built-in grinding aid reduces heat buildup and grinding temperatures during medium to high pressure applications. The resin bond system resists heat to help prevent workpiece discoloration. This disc is sold individually and suited for professional metalworking and fabrication environments.
The 947A disc is used in medium to high pressure grinding and blending applications across industrial fabrication, weld blending, and surface conditioning tasks. It performs on stainless steel and exotic alloys where heat control and cut rate are critical. The Hookit attachment system allows fast disc changes and disc reuse, making it practical for production grinding environments where downtime must be minimized. Licensed tradespeople and fabricators in metal shops and field fabrication work will find this disc suited to demanding, high-cycle use.
Designed for use on stainless steel, carbon steel, cobalt chrome, nickel alloys, and other exotic alloys in medium to high pressure grinding and blending applications. Fits Hookit-compatible random orbital and disc grinders that accept 6-inch hook-and-loop abrasive discs.
Attach the disc to a compatible Hookit-style grinder backing pad by pressing firmly until the hook-and-loop interface is fully seated. Inspect the disc for damage before each use and replace if backing shows wear, tears, or grain loading. Always wear appropriate PPE including eye protection and gloves when operating grinding equipment. Follow applicable ANSI and OSHA standards for abrasive wheel and disc use in metalworking environments.
