The 3M 7100105846 Solus 1000 Series Safety Glasses are polycarbonate-lens protective eyewear designed for industrial and trade environments where eye protection, comfort, and sustained optical clarity are required. The lenses carry a gray tint with an anti-scratch coating and 3M Scotchgard Protector Anti-Fog Coating, which uses an active ingredient that bonds directly to the lens surface to resist fogging longer than standard anti-fog treatments — maintaining performance through up to 25 water wash cycles per 3M internal testing against the EN168 test method. Lenses absorb 99.9% of UV rays and meet the impact-rated protector requirements of ANSI-ISEA Z87.1-2020.
These glasses are suited for general industry, construction, manufacturing, and utility trade applications where workers face varying temperature conditions that promote lens fogging or debris exposure. The low-profile frame is available in bold modern color options. The kit includes an optional elastic strap for securing fit during overhead or active work, and a vented, removable foam gasket that can be added when additional protection from airborne particulates or splash is needed. The soft nose bridge and padded temples support extended wear. The anti-fog coating withstands disinfection with dilute bleach soaking or alcohol wipes without degradation of performance.
Designed as a standalone protective eyewear solution for general industrial and trade use; compatible with standard PPE ensembles requiring ANSI-ISEA Z87.1-2020 compliant eye protection.
No tools required for standard wear. Before attaching the optional foam gasket or elastic strap, ensure the frame is clean and free of debris that could compromise the seal. Safety eyewear programs should follow applicable OSHA 29 CFR 1910.133 or 1926.102 requirements for eye and face protection selection and use. Inspect lenses before each use and replace if scratched or damaged in a way that impairs vision.
