The 3M 7100104909 is a 7-inch Type 29 right-angle flap disc built for medium to high-pressure grinding applications on metal. Carrying the Cubitron II 969F designation, this disc uses 3M Precision-Shaped Grain bonded to a durable polyester backing. The shaped grain fractures as it wears, continuously exposing sharp cutting edges that maintain a fast, consistent cut rate across the full life of the disc. At 60 grit, it is suited for aggressive material removal while still leaving a finish smooth enough for applications where surface appearance matters. Licensed tradespeople and fabricators working with grinders will find this disc effective for beveling, weld removal, and edge deburring on a range of ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
This flap disc is designed for right-angle grinder use in metal fabrication, structural steel work, weld prep, and maintenance repair operations. The 60-grit designation places it in the medium-aggressive range, making it effective where both stock removal speed and a workable surface finish are required in the same operation. It performs well on stainless steel, carbon steel, and aluminum. The polyester backing withstands the high unit pressures common in beveling and weld-seam removal work without delaminating under load.
Designed for use with standard right-angle grinders accepting 7-inch flap discs. Consult your grinder manufacturer's specifications to confirm arbor size and maximum RPM compatibility before mounting.
Installation and disc changes must be performed with the grinder unplugged or the power source locked out. Inspect the disc for damage before mounting and never exceed the maximum RPM rating marked on the disc. Wear appropriate PPE including a face shield, gloves, and hearing protection during grinding operations. Follow applicable ANSI B7.1 safety standards for the use, care, and protection of abrasive wheels.
