The 3M 7100100964 is a 2-inch Roloc fibre disc in the 787C series, designed for rapid stock removal on hard-to-grind metals. It uses 3M Precision Shaped Grain, a ceramic abrasive mineral engineered for higher cut rates and cooler grinding temperatures compared to conventional fibre discs. Rated to 30000 RPM and built on a stiff fibre backing with a strong resin bond, this disc is suited for weld removal, blending, and finish refinement on stainless steel and high nickel alloys. A built-in grinding aid further reduces heat buildup during aggressive material removal. Licensed HVAC, metalworking, and fabrication professionals will find it performs well in both sustained grinding and intermittent blending passes.
This disc is used in light fabrication shops and heavy industrial environments alike, anywhere stainless steel or high nickel alloy workpieces require weld grinding, beveling, edge chamfering, or surface blending. The Roloc quick-change attachment system allows disc swaps without tools, making it practical for production settings where downtime between grit changes needs to stay minimal. It is sold individually and suited for use on angle grinders and inline grinders equipped with a compatible Roloc mandrel.
Designed for use with Roloc-compatible angle grinders and inline grinders fitted with a standard Roloc mandrel. Optimized for stainless steel and high nickel alloy workpieces in weld grinding and surface finishing applications.
Installation and disc changes should be performed with the grinder powered off and unplugged or with the air supply disconnected. Verify the grinder spindle speed does not exceed the 30000 RPM disc rating before operation. Wear appropriate PPE including a face shield, gloves, and hearing protection when operating grinding equipment. Follow applicable ANSI B11 and OSHA 1910.215 guidelines for abrasive wheel machinery.
