The 3M 7100094358 is a Cubitron II 967A flap disc designed for medium-pressure grinding, weld leveling, and surface preparation on flat and contoured workpieces. Built with 3M Precision-Shaped Grain, the disc cuts aggressively at 40 grit while maintaining a longer usable life compared to conventional abrasive flap discs. The poly-cotton backing provides controlled, even wear under medium unit pressure. At 4.5 inches in diameter with a Type 27 profile, it mounts to standard right-angle grinders. Fabricators, welders, and metalworkers install this disc for deburring, weld removal, and pre-paint surface prep on mild steel and stainless steel.
The 967A flap disc is suited for light deburring, weld leveling, and finish work on mild steel and stainless steel fabrication. The Type 27 flat profile allows flush grinding on flat surfaces and works effectively on contoured profiles. It delivers less gouging than fiber discs and bonded wheels, making it a practical choice where surface finish quality matters before coating or painting. Individual flaps break down progressively during use, continuously exposing fresh abrasive mineral and maintaining a consistent cut rate throughout the life of the disc.

Install and remove flap discs only while the grinder is fully powered off and disconnected from its power source. Verify the grinder spindle speed rating meets or exceeds the maximum RPM rating of the disc before mounting. Use the appropriate flange and locking nut specified by the grinder manufacturer. Wear appropriate PPE including eye protection, a face shield, and gloves when operating angle grinders with abrasive discs.
