The 3M 7100086558 is the Base (Part B) component of the Scotch-Weld Epoxy Adhesive 100 system, a rigid, fast-setting, two-part structural adhesive that cures at room temperature. Supplied in a 5-gallon container, it uses a 1:1 mix ratio with its corresponding Part A hardener. Work life is 3 to 5 minutes, and handling strength develops in approximately 20 minutes. The formulation is low viscosity, making it easy to pour and well suited for filleting and potting applications. It meets UL-94 HB flammability standards. This product must be used in conjunction with the corresponding Part A component to form the complete adhesive system.
Scotch-Weld Epoxy Adhesive 100 Part B is used in industrial, manufacturing, and maintenance applications where a fast-curing, rigid bond is required. Its low viscosity makes it practical for potting electronic components, filleting assemblies, and bonding dissimilar substrates in production or field repair environments. Typical users include industrial maintenance technicians, assembly line operators, and facilities personnel working with metals, ceramics, wood, and compatible plastics.
This is the Part B (Base) component of the Scotch-Weld Epoxy Adhesive 100 two-part system. It must be paired with the corresponding Part A hardener at a 1:1 mix ratio. Bonds to metals, ceramics, wood, and many plastics as stated by the manufacturer.
Mixing and application should be performed by personnel familiar with two-part epoxy systems and applicable workplace safety requirements. Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and free of contaminants before application. Dispense and mix only the amount of material that can be applied within the 3 to 5 minute work life. Consult the product Safety Data Sheet for required personal protective equipment and ventilation guidelines before use.
