The 3M 7100084537 is the Base (Part B) component of the Scotch-Weld Epoxy Adhesive 420NS two-part toughened epoxy system. It is used in a 2:1 mix ratio with the corresponding Part A activator to form a structural adhesive bond. The system delivers a 20-minute work life after mixing and reaches handling strength in approximately 2 hours. 420NS is a non-sag formulation, making it suitable for vertical and overhead bonding applications where adhesive movement during cure is not acceptable. Licensed HVAC technicians, industrial maintenance trades, and structural assembly professionals typically work with this class of adhesive.
This product is used in applications requiring strong shear and peel resistance combined with good impact durability. Typical installation scenarios include bonding metal assemblies, ceramic components, wood substrates, and select plastic materials in industrial, commercial, and OEM manufacturing environments. The non-sag characteristic of 420NS makes it particularly useful for gap-filling and bonding irregular or vertical surfaces where a standard flowable epoxy would shift before curing.
Designed for use as the Base (Part B) component in the 3M Scotch-Weld Epoxy Adhesive 420NS B/A two-part system. Must be used with the corresponding 420NS Part A activator at the specified 2:1 mix ratio.
This adhesive is handled by industrial assembly technicians, maintenance trades, and structural bonding professionals. Surfaces should be clean, dry, and free of oils or contaminants before application. Dispensing equipment must be rated for the 2:1 mix ratio to ensure proper cure. Work in a well-ventilated area and consult the product safety data sheet for PPE requirements before use.
