The 3M 7100076930 is a coated abrasive quick-change disc designed for use with Roloc TSM Type S attaching systems. Part of the 947A series, this disc is constructed with a ceramic abrasive grain bonded to a polyester cloth backing rated at X-weight for durability under load. At 80 grit, it falls in the medium grade range, making it well suited for aggressive stock removal, weld blending, and surface conditioning on metal substrates. It is rated to a maximum of 20,000 RPM. The disc measures 3 inches in diameter and weighs approximately 0.01 pounds. It is installed and used by metal fabricators, maintenance technicians, and welders working with right-angle grinders or die grinders fitted with a compatible Type S mandrel.
This disc fits typical production and maintenance grinding applications in fabrication shops, HVAC equipment manufacturing, and general metalworking environments. The ceramic abrasive cuts aggressively and resists heat buildup, making it effective on stainless steel, carbon steel, and high-alloy materials. The maroon disc color and silver button are standard identifiers for this series. Single-disc packaging suits spot replacement or trial use. It is appropriate for both bench and field service work where quick disc changes are required.
Compatible with Roloc TSM Type S quick-change mandrels and grinders designed to accept Type S attaching system discs at 3 inches in diameter.
Installation is performed by threading the disc button onto a compatible Type S Roloc TSM mandrel until it seats securely. Always confirm the grinder or die grinder is powered off and disconnected from its power source before changing discs. Verify that the tool RPM rating meets or exceeds the disc maximum of 20,000 RPM before operation. Use appropriate eye protection, hearing protection, and gloves in accordance with applicable safety standards when operating abrasive discs.
