The 3M 7100076921 is a Cubitron II Roloc Durable Edge Disc in the 984F series, designed for medium to high pressure grinding on small-diameter applications. Built around 3M Precision-Shaped Grain (PSG) technology, the disc maintains sharp ceramic abrasive points that cut faster with less applied pressure compared to conventional abrasive grains. The 2-ply backing adds structural durability for edge grinding work, while an integrated grinding aid helps control heat buildup during operation. The Roloc quick-change attachment system allows fast disc swaps between grits or tasks without tools. This disc is aimed at fabricators, aerospace technicians, and maintenance machinists working in precision metal-removal environments.
This disc is suited for stainless steel, cobalt chrome, nickel alloys, and other heat-sensitive materials where thermal damage is a concern. The 2 inch diameter makes it well matched for tight-access grinding, weld blending, and edge preparation where a standard 4.5 inch or 5 inch disc cannot fit. The Roloc threaded hub attachment is compatible with right-angle die grinders and similar tooling that accepts the Roloc interface. Typical applications include aerospace component finishing, weld seam blending, and precision stock removal on superalloys.
Designed for use with right-angle die grinders and tools equipped with a Roloc threaded hub attachment. Intended for grinding stainless steel, cobalt chrome, and nickel alloy workpieces requiring a 2 inch diameter disc.
This disc is installed and serviced by metal fabricators, machinists, or maintenance technicians. Before mounting, confirm the grinder spindle speed does not exceed the disc rating of 25000 RPM. Thread the Roloc hub firmly onto the grinder mandrel before applying power. Always wear appropriate eye protection and follow applicable ANSI B11 and OSHA grinding safety requirements during operation.
