The 3M 7100075241 is a coated abrasive film disc engineered for consistent, uniform finishing on a variety of substrates. Built on a durable, tear-resistant film backing, it carries premium aluminum oxide grain in an open coat construction that delivers an aggressive cut rate and extended disc life. The pressure-sensitive adhesive backing allows fast, clean application and removal. A load-resistant coating prevents dust and debris from clogging the disc surface, keeping cut rates consistent throughout use. This disc runs at up to 12000 RPM and is suited for finish sanding on flat and contoured surfaces in metalworking, auto body, woodworking, and composite finishing applications.
This disc is designed for use in body shops, fabrication shops, and finishing operations where a fine, uniform surface texture is required. The P1200 grit makes it appropriate for final finish passes, paint prep, and surface blending on metal, wood, plastic, and composite materials. The film backing conforms well to contoured surfaces, allowing consistent abrasive contact without gouging or uneven cut patterns. Technicians and finishers working in production environments will find the Stikit backing speeds up disc changes and reduces downtime between passes.
Designed for use with 6 inch Stikit-compatible backup pads and random orbital or disc sanders that accept pressure-sensitive adhesive mounted abrasive discs.
Mounting and removal should be performed with the tool powered off and unplugged or locked out per standard shop safety practice. Ensure the backup pad surface is clean and free of debris before applying the disc to maintain full adhesive contact. Do not exceed the rated maximum speed of 12000 RPM. Inspect the disc for tears or edge damage before each use and replace if compromised.
