The 3M 7100075211 is a coated abrasive film disc in the Cubitron II 775L series, engineered for high-speed stock removal on metal and other hard substrates. It uses 3M Precision Shaped Grain, a triangular ceramic mineral that slices through material rather than plowing or gouging the way conventional abrasive grains do. At 6 inches in diameter and 150 grit, it is rated to 10000 RPM and attaches via a Stikita pressure-sensitive backing for quick disc changes. Licensed HVAC sheet metal techs, fabricators, and industrial maintenance trades will find this disc suited to aggressive material removal without excessive wheel swaps.
The 775L disc is intended for stock removal applications across a wide variety of substrates, including steel, stainless steel, and other hard metals common in sheet metal fabrication, weld prep, and surface conditioning work. The film backing provides greater tear resistance and edge retention compared to paper-backed alternatives, making it a practical choice in production environments where disc longevity and consistent cut rate matter. It is sold per each unit.
Designed for use on 6-inch random orbital sanders and disc grinders equipped with a hook-and-loop or Stikita-compatible backup pad rated to 10000 RPM or higher.
Install by aligning the disc squarely onto a compatible Stikita or pressure-sensitive backup pad and pressing firmly before operation. Verify the tool's free-speed RPM rating meets or exceeds the disc's 10000 RPM maximum before mounting. Inspect the disc for tears, cuts, or delamination before each use and discard any disc showing damage. Always wear appropriate eye and face protection during grinding operations.
