The 3M 7100074356 is an extra-hard, non-woven unitized abrasive wheel engineered for aggressive edge deburring and surface finishing on harder metals. Built on the 900 Series platform, it uses aluminum oxide mineral bonded into a dense, unitized construction that delivers consistent cut rate and edge durability throughout the life of the wheel. At 6 inches in diameter, it mounts to standard unitized wheel mandrels and is suited for use on bench grinders, angle grinders, and die grinders. Licensed HVAC, plumbing, and fabrication technicians who work with ferrous and non-ferrous metals will find this wheel appropriate for weld cleanup, burr removal, and pre-polish finishing steps.
This wheel is designed for heavy-duty deburring and finishing applications on ferrous metals, non-ferrous metals, and aluminum. The extra-hard density construction provides greater toughness and edge durability compared to lower-density unitized wheels, making it well-suited for production environments and repetitive finishing tasks on hardened or work-hardened surfaces. It operates in both clockwise and counterclockwise rotation, allowing it to pair with a wide range of power tools and machine setups without repositioning the workpiece.
Designed for use with standard unitized wheel mandrels compatible with 6-inch center-hole abrasive wheels. Mandrel is sold separately. Suitable for use on bench grinders, angle grinders, and stationary finishing machines accepting 6-inch wheel accessories.
Installation should be performed by a qualified technician familiar with abrasive wheel safety. Ensure the tool spindle speed does not exceed the maximum rated RPM marked on the wheel before mounting. Power down and disconnect the tool from its power source before attaching or removing the wheel. Always inspect the wheel for damage prior to use and follow applicable ANSI B7.1 safety standards for the use, care, and protection of abrasive wheels.
