The 3M 7100067211 is a coated abrasive disc roll in the Cubitron II 775L series, engineered for aggressive stock removal on metal, composites, and other industrial substrates. It uses 3M Precision Shaped Grain technology, a triangular ceramic mineral that slices into the workpiece rather than plowing or gouging like conventional abrasive grains. The result is a disc that cuts significantly faster and lasts considerably longer than standard aluminum oxide or conventional ceramic products. At 6 inches in diameter and 180 grit, it delivers a fine-to-medium cut suited to finishing and blending passes where controlled material removal is the goal. Licensed tradespeople and fabricators in metal fabrication, automotive body, and industrial maintenance are the primary users.
This disc roll is formatted for use with compatible 6-inch backup pads equipped with a Stikita pressure-sensitive adhesive attachment system. The film backing provides greater tear resistance and edge retention compared to paper-backed alternatives, making it a strong choice for edge work, contoured surfaces, and high-torque angle grinder applications. It is sold as a roll with a minimum order quantity of 4 units per roll. Applications include weld blending, surface preparation before coating, and general stock removal across a range of substrates.
Designed for use with 6-inch backup pads equipped with a Stikita-compatible pressure-sensitive adhesive interface, typically paired with angle grinders or disc sanders in metal fabrication and surface preparation applications.
Installation and disc changes should be performed with the grinder or sander powered off and disconnected from its power source. Ensure the backup pad is rated for the RPM of the tool being used before mounting the disc. Inspect the disc for damage before each use and do not use a disc that shows cuts, tears, or delamination. Follow applicable ANSI B7 and OSHA abrasive wheel safety guidelines when operating grinding equipment.
