The 3M 7100067090 is a coated abrasive film disc roll in the Cubitron II 775L series, designed for aggressive stock removal on a wide range of substrates. At 6 inches in diameter and 150 grit, it uses 3M Precision Shaped Grain technology — triangular ceramic mineral structures engineered to slice cleanly through material rather than plowing or smearing like conventional abrasives. The result is a disc that cuts faster and outlasts traditional aluminum oxide or zirconia products by a significant margin. The film backing resists tearing and holds its edge under heavy use. Attachment is via a Stikita pressure-sensitive adhesive backing, making disc swaps quick on compatible random orbital or disc sanders.
This disc roll is suited for metal fabrication, woodworking, composite shaping, and general stock removal tasks in professional shop and field environments. The 150 grit rating targets intermediate finishing stages where material removal rate still matters but surface quality is becoming a factor. It is particularly effective on stainless steel, carbon steel, aluminum, and hardwood. Sold as a roll, it is appropriate for shops with moderate to high disc consumption. The minimum order quantity is 4 units per order.
Designed for use with random orbital sanders and disc sanders that accept 6-inch PSA-backed abrasive discs with a Stikita-style attachment interface.
Mounting and dismounting PSA-backed discs should be done with the sander powered off and unplugged or the air supply disconnected. Ensure the backing pad surface is clean and free of debris before applying the disc to maintain full adhesion. Allow brief hand pressure across the disc face after application to seat the adhesive evenly. Discard discs showing tears, delamination, or significant glazing to maintain consistent cut rate and surface quality.
